Education is about far more than acquiring knowledge and qualifications. It is also about learning how to understand one another, appreciate our differences, care for our communities and contribute positively to the world around us.
For Education Sunday 2026, the theme “Living Well Together” is reflected especially in Romans 14:1-12 “teaches believers to accept one another despite differences in faith practices, avoiding judgment and living for the Lord.” This invites us to reflect on the important role education plays in helping people develop the values, relationships and understanding needed to build stronger communities.
As we mark Education Sunday 2026, may we renew our commitment to education that develops the whole person – mind, heart and character.
May our schools, churches, families and communities become places where people can learn, belong, grow and flourish.
Let us learn together, care for one another and build a future where everyone has the opportunity to live well together.
