Heavenly Father,
As December unfolds, we enter a season of waiting and wonder. In the quiet of Advent, we prepare our hearts for the coming of Your Son. Help us to slow down, to reflect, and to make room for Jesus amidst the busyness of our lives, church and the world.
Lord, as we light each candle of the Advent wreath, may hope, peace, joy, and love grow brighter in our lives. Let these flames remind us of Your promises and the light that Christ brings into our darkness.
We thank You for the gift of Emmanuel—God with us. In the manger, we see humility; in the shepherds, we see awe; in the angels, we hear glory. May our hearts echo their song: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”
This Christmas, renew our faith. Fill our homes with Your presence. Let generosity, kindness, and compassion overflow. May we see Christ not only in the nativity but in the faces of those around us.
Come, Lord Jesus. Be born anew in us. May Your love transform our December into a holy celebration of Your grace.
Amen.
