Please read in advance of Worship on Sunday 14th June

This Sunday, our circuit evening worship will focus on the work of Methodist Homes for the Aged, MHA, the UK’s largest charity care provider. Methodists have observed MHA Sunday for many years, praying and raising funds for the charity, but this year it is especially important to do so. Many MHA homes have suffered heavily from Coronavirus, and they need our prayers more than ever. So if you can, please join us on Sunday evening from 6pm for worship beginning at 6:30.

If you’re interested in exploring this further, the BBC broadcast an episode of Newsnight on 3 June with an extended section from MHA, available here (the MHA film begins 6:45 minutes in) https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000jr6j/newsnight-03062020

MHA are streaming their own worship at 3pm on Sunday and you can access it via a Youtube link available from this site: https://www.mha.org.uk/get-involved/campaigns/mha-sunday/

Can we raise funds for MHA this year? Definitely! You may have your own ideas, or you might like to join COME DINE WITH MHA, 6:30 on Friday 19 June – all you need is a plate of food and some friends to eat with! More details on Sunday evening.
