Project Manager Role – Manchester South Central Foodbank

 

 

 

 

Do you want to help fight poverty in Manchester? Are you an outstanding practitioner with experience in project management and the ability to respond creatively?

We have an exciting opportunity to expand our collaborative working with partnerships and to expand the services we provide under our more than food projects. We’re currently recruiting a Project Manager to tackle this challenging and rewarding role as part of our team. The role will be based across the Hulme, Moss Side, Whalley Range and Old Trafford Wards within the city of Manchester and Trafford.

About the role:
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management and development of our food bank services, it’s activities and events. Through the “time for change” agenda you will be committed to understanding and addressing the underlying causes of food poverty, inequality and social isolation and seek to address these through the development of our More than Food projects.

We are looking for:                                                                                                                            

A passionate, energetic and hard working individual who can self manage and oversee the day to day management of the Foodbank processes, including;

  • Creating, planning, and organising initiatives, activities and events as agreed with the Board of Trustees.
  • Supporting warehouse staff members and volunteers
  • Distribution centres
  • Administrative task which include updating data collection systems
  • Managing budgets and preparing both financial and project reports
  • Partnerships

You will be required to work closely with the board of Trustees, its staff and volunteers.

The project manager will play an important role in helping to shape the structure and function of the organisation within the local communities with which we work.
