TKC 2026: Day 10 The Spirit Through Generations

Reading

I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers…I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

[2 Timothy 1:3,5]

Prayer

We ask that You send the Holy Spirit as a holy offering to the holy church. As we assemble, give to all the saints the fullness of the Holy Spirit for the confirmation of true faith so that we may praise and glorify You through Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom glory and honour to the Father and the Son with the Holy Spirit in Your holy church are Yours now and forever! Amen.

Breath prayers or using scripture as a breath prayer

Here is an example using scripture: Matthew 6:8 – (inhale) – “Father, you know” – (exhale) – “what I need”. Adapting this form of prayer, you might pray – (inhale) – “Father I bring [INSERT NAME] to you” Then – (exhale) – “meet them in their need of Jesus.” Repeat for each person slowly.
