World Day of Prayer 2026

On the first Friday in March 120 countries participate in this day of celebration for the World Day of Prayer, Led by the global movement of World Day of Prayer International Committee. This day reminds us that prayer knows no borders and unity is our greatest strength. The origins of World Day of Prayer date back to the 19th century when Christian women in the USA and Canada initiated a variety of cooperative activities in support of women’s involvement in mission, at home and abroad.

This years theme is ‘I will give you rest, come’ Nigeria.
