From a slow start the work of reBoot has really taken off in recent months. We’ve been able to provide new shoes and socks to those experiencing homelessness, some who have arrived in Manchester as migrants, school shoes for children of parents escaping domestic violence and others for whom the cost of living has meant that new shoes cannot be a priority at the moment. Mostly we work inpartnership with other charities in taking referrals.
We no longer take donations of shoes unless they are new / unused as we prefer to buy shoes new and specific for the client. However, money donations and socks (especially men’s socks) remain welcome.
Thank you for supporting this project in prayer, awareness and gifts. In handing over each pair of shoes I always remember the generosity of the Methodist people across the Manchester Circuit!
