Making COP 26 Count!

As COP26, the annual conference in which UN leaders will meet for global climate talks approaches, faith groups from around the world are taking action to express our 10 climate demands and make COP count! Manchester Methodists have been involved with this movement in two ways.

Banner Drop

Rev. Ian Rutherford and Deacon Pru Cahill proudly unfurled our banner at Methodist Central Hall, Manchester on Sunday 17th October 2021, along with many other faith buildings across the UK, as part of the Faiths 4 Climate Justice initiative on GreenFaith Day.

Rev. Ian Rutherford explains the rational behind the banner design:

Circuit Noises for the Climate

Clayton Methodist Church “Clap for Climate Justice”

Edge Lane “Noise for the Climate”
