Gracious God,
We come to you this September at a time of new beginnings for many. School children will move on to new classes or schools. New students will begin their courses. Some teachers and lecturers will be taking on new jobs. Ministers may be starting new appointments.
We pray for everyone making a new start in their lives. As they move forward, may they be aware of your loving presence. We ask that as they face new challenges, they will have the support of family, friends and colleagues.
We pray for the Churches of the Manchester Circuit as we begin a new Methodist Year. Be with our ministers and local preachers. We pray especially for Deacon Jennifer Jones and local preachers in training.
Be with all who work in our Churches in many varied roles. We pray for the newly combined Church in Didsbury / East Didsbury – for fellowship and witness together.
Great God, we give thanks that you are with us, loving and caring for us, through all the stages of our lives.
